The method comprises the steps of creating a car model adaptive table in a database; in the database, extracting VIN codes read by all online car equipment, and writing corresponding fields of the car model adaptive table; when it is judged that OBD data in car equipment codes comprises reported average fuel consumption, judging that the car equipment is matched, and associating 1st to mth bits and pth bit of the VIN code of the car read by the car equipment; when it is judged that the OBD data in the car equipment codes does not comprise the reported average fuel consumption, judging that the car equipment is not matched, and associating the 1st to mth bits and the pth bit of the VIN code of the car read by the car equipment; and receiving a VIN code input instruction of a user, automatically performing comparative matching on the VIN code and the VIN codes of the car model adaptive table, and feeding back and presenting a matching query result to the user.
