The method comprises the steps of turning on the multifunctional radio set; putting the multifunctional radio set into a connecting seat device and inserting the device into the USB receptacle; connecting one end of the connecting seat device with a power supply to charge the multifunctional radio set; and connecting the other end of the connecting seat device for enabling the data transfer. According to the multifunctional radio set and the connecting method thereof, the radio set has the functions of FM radio function, MP3 playing function, clock display function, flashlight lighting function, GPS positioning function, optimized data storage function and data transfer function.
