The invention provides a method for providing a virtual reality video on a television, the television, and a system. The method comprises the following steps: playing a television program; storing theplayed television program; receiving a first preset operation; responding to the first preset operation, and acquiring a screenshot picture of the television program played at a moment at which the first preset operation is received; sending the acquired screenshot picture to portable electronic equipment connected with the television; and when an acquisition route for the virtual reality video of a target in the screenshot picture is received from the portable electronic equipment, inserting an identifier indicating the acquisition route for the virtual reality video at a time point of the stored television program corresponding to the moment at which the first preset operation is received.
