Embodiment Construction

[0050] In order to have a clearer understanding of the technical features and purposes of the present invention, the specific implementation manners of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0051] Please refer to figure 1 , which is a system block diagram of the PAPR reduction OFDM system based on four-dimensional signal insertion proposed by the present invention, including three parts: a transmitting end, a channel, and a receiving end. The sending end includes a serial-to-parallel conversion module, a two-dimensional signal mapper, a four-dimensional signal mapper, IFFT, a peak-to-average power ratio comparator, and a parallel-to-serial conversion module; the receiving end includes a serial-to-parallel conversion module, FFT, a two-dimensional signal demapper, 4D signal demapper and parallel to serial conversion module. Set the number of subcarriers of the OFDM signal as N, and the number of inserted four-dimen...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for reducing the peak-to-average power ratio of an OFDM system based on four-dimensional signal insertion. Based on a conventional DSI method, four-dimensional signals instead of a conventional virtual sequence not carrying information are inserted into OFDM signal sub-carriers, each four-dimensional signal occupies two sub-carriers, and compared withthe conventional DSI method, the data transmission efficiency is not reduced. Since a four-dimensional signal constellation can provide greater freedom of search, the peak-to-average power ratio of the OFDM system can be improved more effectively under the same search complexity and system data transmission efficiency, and no sideband information needs to be transmitted. In addition, compared withthe insertion of two-dimensional signals, the four-dimensional signal constellation has a larger minimum Euclidean distance without changing the average power of the transmitted OFDM signals, so theerror performance of the system can also be improved to a certain extent.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of wireless communication, in particular to a method for reducing the peak-to-average power ratio of an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system based on four-dimensional signal insertion. Background technique [0002] Due to the advantages of high spectrum utilization, effective anti-frequency selective fading and easy implementation, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technology has been widely used in various wireless communication systems, such as wireless local area network (WLAN), wireless metropolitan area network, etc. (WMAN) and Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX). One of the main disadvantages of OFDM systems is the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). High PAPR requires that the power amplifier at the sending end of the system has a large linear range, otherwise, when the signal exceeds the linear range of the amplifier, the signal will be di...
