The method comprises the following steps:in response to a number camouflage query request sent by a terminal, comparing a communication record of a to-be-queried telephone number sent by the terminal and initiated to the terminal with the communication record in an actual bill so as to determine whether the to-be-queried telephone number really initiates the communication and identify whether the to-be-queried telephone number is the camouflage telephone number. By adoption of the method and system, any telephone number that initiates a call or sends a short message to the terminal can be identified accurately, and the accuracy and comprehensiveness of identifying the camouflage telephone number are improved.
