Abstract

The present invention provides an apparatus for manufacturing a tow prepreg, which includes: a spreader roll adjusting an incident angle of supplied fibers; and two or more coating rolls including a first roll and a second roll , the first roll and the second roll rotate when there is a gap between the first roll and the second roll, wherein the fiber supplied from the expanding roll passes through the gap between the first roll and the second roll and is coated with the resin coated. Adjusting the incident angle of the fiber supplied for impregnating the resin adjusts the tension applied to the fiber supplied to the applicator roll, thereby adjusting the resin content. The present invention also provides a method of making a tow prepreg.
