Abstract

The invention provides a method for periodically and dynamically calibrating airborne meteorological radar noise and belongs to the technical field of meteorological radar noise processing. The methodcomprises steps of turning off a radiation switch when the radar scanning commutation starts; turning on the radiation switch when the radar scanning commutation ends; obtaining an average value of radar power data sampled during a period from turning off the radiation switch to turning on the radiation switch as a calibration noise value; and calibrating the airborne meteorological radar noise by using the calibration noise value. The periodic noise calibration method can accurately acquire the noise information of the current environment of the meteorological radar without affecting the normal operation of the radar, accurately eliminates the influence of noise according to a noise calibration result, and reduces a false alarm rate while ensuring detection sensitivity.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of weather radar noise processing, and in particular relates to a method for dynamically calibrating airborne weather radar noise periods. Background technique [0002] In the field of radar detection, weather radar echo data is usually affected by system thermal noise and external environmental noise. The thermal noise is mainly the interference generated by the active components of the radar itself, and the environmental noise is mainly caused by the work and operation of other airborne equipment except the radar. The interference generated by the external atmospheric environment, thermal noise and environmental noise are collectively referred to as noise in this paper. [0003] Noise will affect the radar's detection of targets to a certain extent. The detection threshold (red, yellow, and green intensity levels) of weather radars takes the target echo power into account in the reflectivity factor Z e Th...
