The method comprises the steps of displaying a user interface of the application, wherein the user interface comprises at least one interface element; receiving triggering operation on the user interface; selecting a target interface element in the at least one interface element according to the triggering operation, wherein the target interface element comprises text content of a first language type; and carrying out overlapping displaying on translation content of a second language type corresponding to the text content in a firstlocal area of the user interface through utilization of the operating system. According to the method, the device, the equipment and the memory medium, the translation content corresponding to the text content in the target interface element can be obtained through little operation, translation steps in related technologies are simplified, operation times of a user in a translation process is reduced, and efficiency when a user carries out the man-machine interaction with the terminal can be improved.
