Abstract

The method includes the following steps: a, acquiring a raindrop image through a camera device;b, filtering the raindrop image by a morphological filtering algorithm, identifying the edge of raindrop, and obtaining a raindrop target area in the raindrop image; and c, calculating the area of raindrop in the raindrop target area, estimating the amount of raindrop water according to the area of raindrop, and estimating the precipitation according to the amount of raindrop water. Precipitationis measured by image identification, and the measurement accuracy of precipitation can reach 0.1mm.
