A portable photosynthesis instrument is used for obtaining the net photosynthetic rate and the transpiration rate of plantssubjected to environment adaption, and an isotope mixing model which utilizes a bidirectional isotope labeling technology and two end members is combined to measure the information of the plant for the utilization portion of bicarbonate. The net photosynthetic rate, the transpiration rate and plant metabolic water utilization information are coupled to conveniently, accurately and reliably obtainthe practical moisture utilization efficiency and the practical water demand of indoor plants, and a scientific basis for accurately evaluating the own water saving ability and drought resistance ability of the plant is provided, so that a basis is provided for screening karst adaptable plants with a high moisture use ratio, and a technical support is provided for water saving irrigation and watersource sustainable utilization.
