Abstract

The invention discloses an information reporting method and device. The method comprises the following steps: computing a first number value of the maximum sub-band channel state information includedin specific information reported based on a physical downlink sharing channel based on the reportable specific information bit data and information bit occupied for reporting various sub-band channelstate information, wherein the specific information represents a precoding matrix indication in the information state information; comparing the first number value with a second number value corresponding to the sub-band amount included in the current bandwidth, and determining a report mode of the sub-channel state information based on a comparison result; and determining location information forreporting the sub-band channel state information based on the report mode, and reporting based on the location information. Under the condition of transmission of the CSI Part2 part, the state information of the downlink channel can be efficiently expressed, and a base station can acquire more precise channel state feedback, thereby improving the system performance.
