Embodiments of the present invention provide an electronic device and a volume adjustment method thereof. The electronic equipment includes a casing, a ceramic speaker, a capacitance detection component, a processor and a driver; the ceramic speaker is arranged in the casing and has an exciter connected to the casing; the capacitance detection assembly includes a first connected between the exciter and the casing. A capacitor, a second capacitor connected to the side of the exciter away from the casing, a detection chip electrically connected to the first capacitor and the second capacitor respectively, the first capacitor and the second capacitor form a variable capacitor unit, the processor controls the driver to adjust the output volume of the ceramic speaker according to the real-time capacitance value. The capacitance detection component can detect the change of the real-time capacitance value of the variable capacitance unit; the processor controls the driver to adjust the output volume of the ceramic speaker according to the real-time capacitance value, so that the volume of the ceramic speaker is not affected by the hand holding or pressing, which solves the problem of electronic equipment.
