Abstract

The invention discloses a solar thermal collector. The solar thermal collector comprises a shell, a water tank, and a plurality of circular heat pipes that contain a working solution. The water tank is disposed at the upper end of the shell. Each circular heat pipe comprises a first bent section, a straight section and a second bent section in sequential connection from top to bottom, wherein thefirst bent section is bent downwards, the second bent section is bent upwards, the first bent section is located in the water tank, and the straight section and the second bent section are located inthe shell. The shell is configured to absorb solar energy, convert the solar energy into heat energy and transmit the heat energy to the straight sections and the second bent sections. Under the conditions of determining the total height of the solar thermal collector and making sure the cooling area of the circular heat pipes in the water tank, the height of the circular heat pipes in the water tank is reduced, the height of the circular heat pipes in the shell is increased, the unit heat absorption area is enlarged, and the heating capacity for water in the water tank is enhanced. Meanwhile,with the decrease of the size of the water tank, the flow rate of liquid in the water tank can be easily increased, and the overall heat exchange capacity is improved.
