The method comprises the following steps: the millimeter wave radar mixes an echo signal and a transmitting signal to obtain a beat intermediate frequency signal; the ADC samples the beat intermediate frequency signal to obtain an echo sampling sequence; a distance azimuth map and a detection point cloud set are obtained through distance processing, static clutter filtering, CAPN beam forming, CFAR target detection and speed estimation which are carried out in sequence; and group tracking is performed on the point cloud set to obtain the position and the motion track of the target, micro-motion identification is carried out on the target, and a detection result is output.
