The method comprises the steps: acquiring a log collection configuration corresponding to a to-be-monitored application on a client; sending an initialization configuration instruction containing the log collection configuration to the client, so that the client stores the log collection configuration; sending a collection starting instruction to the client, so that the client collects log information of the to-be-monitored application according to the log collection configuration and uploads the log information; and receiving the log information uploaded by the client. According to the scheme, by automatically issuing the log collection configuration, the labor cost can be greatly reduced, and batch configuration of the equipment is realized, so that the configuration efficiency is improved, and configuration errors caused by repeated manual work are reduced.
