Abstract

Systems and methods are provided for generating account permissions for an account on a computing system. In some embodiments, an application programming interface (API) interaction involving an external application and a computing system is used to generate a corresponding set of account permissions for an account. The set of account permissions may also or alternatively be generated for the account using API permissions for external applications. The set of account permissions may cause the account to access the same resource on the computing system as the external application, thereby avoiding granting over-wide access rights to the computing system to the account.
