Benefits of technology

[0065]Within the life management environment, the user can also connect across a network to share information with a variety of external devices, such as the user's mobile phone or computer, or devices operated by third parties. For example, a health or fitness coach of the user can receive biotelemetry or physical data from the user, can analyze this, and can send fitness recommendations to the wristband or control certain settings of the wristband. The user's executive assistant can manage the user's schedule and provide reminders to the wristband. The user can also use a concierge service associated with the wristband that can help the user with any questions and needs the user might have. The life management solution also includes a scale to which the wristband can automatically detect the user when wearing the wristband and directly share readings that the user can immediately view on the wristband. Together, all of these features to provide an overall integrated life management solution that allows the user to reduce stress, improve health, and better manage wellness and lifestyle.
[0074]In an embodiment, the wristband may recognize the user based on biotelemetry data associated with the user. In another embodiment, the control unit may determine the user's mood based on the user's biotelemetric functions. For example, a high heart rate may indicate that the user is feeling stressed.
[0344]According to another aspect of the invention, there is provided a method of facilitating use of a calendar comprising receiving user biometric data and user online activity data in relation to a user; and adapting a calendar associated with the user in response to the user biometric data and user online activity data.

Problems solved by technology

In recent years, stress levels have been increasing for American adults, and many people report that they do not manage or reduce stress well.
Stress can be caused by a difficulty to effectively multi-task with respect to activities such as work, exercise, nutritional intake, travel, and social engagements.
However, these technologies are not necessarily used to lower an individual's stress level or make meaningful recommendations to the user regarding future activities or lifestyle choices.
Further, these technologies are limited in the information that they can provide to a user, and do not provide an integrated life management solution allowing a user to better manage and improve multiple aspects of his lifestyle, including health, social, stress, schedule, organization, productivity, and overall well being.
Additionally, health monitoring systems are generally user-centric, in the sense they do not allow third parties to analyze a user's physical activity, social activity, and biotelemetric data to suggest and / or schedule actions that are beneficial to a user's health.
There does not currently exist an intelligent wristband that takes into account a user's physical activity, social activity, and biotelemetric data to make recommendations to the user.
