Abstract

The invention discloses a method for the main control MSC to acquire the mobile terminal position under the service MSC. The invention comprises the following steps: during the service process of the mobile terminal, the main control MSC is switched into the service MSC; the mobile terminal is mobile under the ser ice MSC, to generate a soft switching under the BSC or a hard switching between the BSCs, and after the service MSC receives the switching accomplishing message transmitted by the BSC, the position information of the mobile terminal is transmitted to the main control MSC. The method of the invention can support normal realization of the services such as the mobility limitation, the dynamic position area limitation, and the legal monitoring.
