Problems solved by technology

[0003] Instant messaging products are used by more and more people, and file transfer is a very important function in instant messaging. At present, when transferring files in instant messaging tools, if it is interrupted, it can only be transferred again from the beginning, and cannot be uploaded online. Continue to transfer the remaining file data on an unfinished basis

Embodiment Construction

[0020] As shown in Figure 1, a method for using resumed uploading in an instant messaging tool to perform file transfer includes the following steps,

[0021] S1. The server receives and completes the file data sent by the sender. After the server finishes receiving, it stores the file and is ready to start forwarding it to the recipient client.

[0022] S2. The server notifies the client of unaccepted file information.

[0023] S3. When the client receives it, it connects to the server and sends the received file command to the server. The file information contained in the file command is sent by the server to the client through a notification message, and the client creates a new file transfer task.

[0024] S4. After the server receives the file command, it sends the file data to the client. During the process of receiving the file, the client periodically stores the file task data, such as once every 5 seconds;

[0025] The content of task data includes:

Abstract

The invention provides a method for transmitting documents by breakpoint transmission with an instant communications tool, which includes the following steps: when a client terminal receives documents, a server is connected, an instruction for receiving documents is sent to the server, and the client terminal then creates a new task of document transmission; after the instruction for receiving documents is received by the server, the data of the documents are sent to the client terminal which stores the data of the task on a regular basis; if the client terminal fails to complete the receiving of the documents, the client terminal then transmits the task information to the server requesting for receiving the remaining document data, the server then continues to transmit the remaining document data after receiving the request when a user receives documents the next time; if the client terminal completes the receiving of the documents, the client terminal then notifies the user that the receiving is completed, and the task of document transmission is deleted. The time for repeated transmission is saved in transmitting documents by breakpoint transmission, and the pressure on network is alleviated, thus improving efficiency of transmission and strengthening the ability to withstand risks. Therefore, the method is suitable for the instant communications software applied in ever-changing network environment with frequent on-and-off-line of users.

Description

Technical field: [0001] The invention relates to the field of computer software and network communication, in particular to instant communication technology, and in particular to a method for file transmission using resumed transmission in an instant communication tool. Background technique: [0002] Instant messaging (IM for short) has become an important means for users to communicate through the network. Currently, there are many instant messaging tools, such as Tencent's QQ, Microsoft's MSN, and some enterprise instant messaging, such as RTX and Sametime. [0003] Instant messaging products are used by more and more people, and file transfer is a very important function in instant messaging. At present, when transferring files in instant messaging tools, if it is interrupted, it can only be transferred again from the beginning, and cannot be uploaded online. Continue to transfer the remaining file data on the basis of unfinished times. For example: when the user receive...
