Problems solved by technology

The thermoelectric power generation device prepared by this technology will definitely affect the performance of the thermoelectric power generation device due to the discontinuous change of the carrier concentration of the device element.
In addition, during the use of the device, the structure of the power generation device is unstable due to the diffusion of the solder, resulting in performance degradation, and the performance of functionally graded thermoelectric materials cannot be fully utilized.

Embodiment 1

[0015] Weigh raw material PbTe and dopant Pbl in molar ratio 100:0.08:0.05:0.1 2 , Zr, Al, the raw material PbTe with the dopant Pbl 2 , Zr, and Al were put into a quartz tube about 100 mm in length and 10 mm in diameter, and evacuated to 2.7×10 -4 Pa sealed quartz tube. Put the quartz tube into a tube heating furnace and sinter at 1200K for 1 hour. Thereafter, the quartz tube is erected and begins to cool down. The cooling rate of the furnace is controlled by the heating program of the furnace to be 98K / hour. The temperature gradient in the sample can be made to be 5.5K / cm by selecting the position of the quartz tube in the tube heating furnace. The obtained sample is about 7cm long, and the carrier concentration in it is continuously from 2.1×10 25 m -3 Reduced to 3.3×10 24 m -3 . The effective maximum thermoelectric power output test results show that the sample is nearly 30% higher than the segmented welded FGM with the same carrier concentration composition.

Embodiment 2

[0017] Weigh the raw material PbTe and the dopant Pbl at a molar ratio of 100:0.1:0.07:0.08 2 , Zr, Al, using the same process and process conditions in Example 1, the sample is about 7cm long, and the carrier concentration in it is from 3.1×10 25 m -3 Continuously reduced to 5.3×10 24 m -3 .

Embodiment 3

[0019] Weigh raw material PbTe and dopant Pbl in molar ratio 100:0.05:0.07:0.08 2 , Zr, Al, using the same process and process conditions in Example 1, the sample is about 7cm long, and the carrier concentration in it is from 1.5×10 25 m -3 Continuously reduced to 1.6×10 24 m -3 .

Abstract

The invention relates to functional grade thermoelectric material n-PbTe and preparation method thereof, belonging to the thermoelectric material technical field. The functional grade thermoelectric material n-PbTe is formed by PbTe doped with Pbl2, Zr and Al and has continuous changing carrier concentration distribution. The preparation method includes that PbTe is taken as raw material, Pbl2, Zrand Al are taken as doping agents, and PbTe, Pbl2, Zr and Al are mixed in proportion and sealed in a quartz tube in high suction; the quartz tube is sintered at high temperature of 1100-1450K for 0.5-5 hours; and temperature reduction is carried out under the conditions that temperature grade is 2.5-8K / cm and temperature reduction speed is 80-180K / h. The preparation method of the invention is simple, has low cost and can prepare the required functional grade thermoelectric material by one step; and material structure and performance are stable, and the carrier concentration is in continuous changing, thus improving thermoelectric conversion efficiency and prolonging service life when being used as a thermoelectric generating device.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of functionally graded thermoelectric materials (FGTEM), in particular to a preparation method of lead telluride (n-PbTe) functionally graded thermoelectric materials and temperature gradient solidification thereof. Background technique: [0002] PbTe is one of the good thermoelectric materials in the medium temperature region and is widely used in thermoelectric power generation devices. When a thermoelectric device is working, there is a temperature gradient of hundreds of K at both ends of the device. Generally speaking, the temperature corresponding to the best conversion efficiency of PbTe material is closely related to the carrier concentration of the material. The higher the carrier concentration, the higher the corresponding optimal operating temperature range. That is, materials with high carrier concentration are used at the high-temperature end, while materials with low carrier concentration are...
