The bar codes are divided into 5 lines which correspond to five groups of figures on a title page or an interleaving page of the book respectively; the bar codes correspond to a tens digit of the page in sequence; the five groups of figures are 0 and 1, 2 and 3, 4 and 5, 6 and 7, and 8 and 9 respectively and are listed at different levels of height on the edge of the title page or the interleaving page respectively; and when the tens digit of the page is 0, the bar code is marked with a long code, and the other bar codes are marked with short codes. Different from a conventional method for searching the page, the method for searching the page comprises the following steps: firstly, determining a bar code line of a units digit; secondly determining a long code of a hundreds digit; finally determining the short code corresponding to the tens digit after the long code and opening the page at the position of the short code to find the searched page and adjacent pages.
