Abstract

The invention discloses an access network information acquisition method, an access network fining and selecting functional unit and a terminal. The method comprises the following steps: the access network discovery and selection function (ANDSF) unit acquires attribute information of an access network supplied to the terminal from an authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) server after receiving an access network request message from the terminal; and the ANDSF unit transmits information of access network to the terminal to be convenient for the terminal to select an access network to be accessed from access networks corresponding to the information of access network according to the information of access network, wherein the information of access network carries the attribute information of access network. The invention improves terminal switching efficiency and ensures service continuity.
