Access network discovery and selection function (ANDSF) is an entity within an evolved packet core (EPC) of the system architecture evolution (SAE) for 3GPP compliant mobile networks. The purpose of the ANDSF is to assist user equipment (UE) to discover non-3GPP access networks – such as Wi-Fi or WIMAX – that can be used for data communications in addition to 3GPP access networks (such as HSPA or LTE) and to provide the UE with rules policing the connection to these networks.

Network access processing method and user equipment

The invention provides a network access processing method and user equipment. The method includes that the user equipment (UE) accesses to a first visit public land mobile network (VPLMN) through a first access network and accesses to a second VPLMN through a second access network; the UE finds and selects strategies of a functional entity of an ANDSF (Access Network Discovery And Selection Function) and one of strategies of an ANDSF of a second VPLMN according to an access network of the first VPLMN to determine to initiate a data flow diversion operation; and the UE performs the data flow diversion operation according to the ANDSF strategies of the first VPLMN and the ANDSF strategies which is different from the ANDSF strategies used for determining the initiation of the data flow diversion operation in the ANDSF strategies of the second VPLMN. The network access processing method and the user equipment effectively ensure that the UE can cooperatively achieve the flow diversion operation of the data flow between 3GPP (the 3rd Generation Partnership Project) access networks and WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) access networks of different VPLMNs according to different ANDSF strategies after receiving the ANDSF strategies sent by different VPLMNs in a roaming scenario, so that the utilization rate of network resources is improved and the network congestion is reduced.

User tag based shunt method and system in 5G network

The invention relates to a user tag based shunt method and system in a 5G network, belonging to the technical field of communications. On the basis of a C-radio access network (C-RAN) architecture, a user tag is analyzed and extracted by a deep packet inspection (DPI) module, and a shunt strategy is deployed on an access network discovery and selection function (ANDSF), so as to realize WiFi shunt in a 5G complex heterogeneous network. The shunt method and system comprehensively consider three aspects of factors, namely, user preference, service requirements and network performances. For dense and complex distribution of WiFi in future 5G network and the heterogeneous network environment in which WiFi and 5G network are further fused, the method and system well solve the problem of WiFi shunt. The method and system mainly comprise a WiFi shunt trigger unit. An access point (AP) proactively reports or passively reports network state information. A DPI unit analyzes and acquires the user tag. The ANDSF executes the shunt strategy, ranks candidate WiFi, and starts the shunt switching process. The method and device can simultaneously satisfy service requirements and achieve the purpose of network resource dynamic match, improve the user quality of experience (QoE), balance network load, and realize benefit maximization of the user and network operators.
