Systems and methods for enabling notification of disaster conditions and alternative Public Land Mobile Networks (PLMNs) to network nodes are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a User Equipment (UE) for responding to a disaster condition in a first PLMN, comprises determining that a first PLMN is not available; determining that a second PLMN is available for disaster roaming; and attempting to register with the second PLMN, responsive to determining that the first PLMN is not available due to the disaster condition and determining that a second PLMN is available for disaster roaming. In this way, a UE is informed of the failure of its currently used PLMN due to a disaster condition and a service may be provided in another PLMN, where the UE under normal conditions may not be allowed to receive a service from the second PLMN.

An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a user equipment (UE), comprising: an AS; and a NAS, wherein the NAS is configured to: determine whether at least one trigger condition of one or more trigger conditions for transmitting information associated with one or more public land mobile networks (PLMN) forbidden to operate at a present location of the UE is fulfilled; and transmit the information to the AS in response to fulfillment of at least one of the one or more trigger conditions.

A user equipment (UE) can receive a list of public land mobile networks (PLMNs) that support a given network slice in a given country, which is different from a home country of a home PLMN of the UE. When roaming in the given country, the UE can access a PLMN in the list if the given network slice is desired. This application discloses a method, apparatus, user equipment, and storage medium for determining the priority of a Public Land Network (PLMN). The method includes: obtaining PLMN search results; and, if the PLMN search results include a first PLMN, and the first PLMN exists in the list of PLMNs whose registration has been suspended due to a Roaming Guidance System (SOR), determining the first PLMN as the lowest priority PLMN, wherein the first PLMN is a user-controlled PLMN that includes access technology. Implementing this application embodiment can avoid selecting a network from a user-controlled PLMN that includes access technology in the list of PLMNs whose registration has been suspended due to a SOR, thereby improving the stability of the communication system.
