Abstract

The invention discloses a method for building a video call, comprising the following steps: a video replacing server receives a video calling request sent by a first terminal; the video replacing server builds conference connection with a media server according to the video calling request; the video replacing server sends a calling request to the second terminal; and the second terminal builds the video call with the first terminal according to the calling request. The method replaces videos in the mode that the video replacing server controls the media server to play a preset video file for the terminal performing the video call according to a replacement order input by the terminal, thereby, satisfying the requirement of a user that the video of the user can not be watched by the opposite side.
