According to the technical scheme, the method comprises the following steps: taking three indexes, namely effective short circuit ratio (ESCR), static voltage stability index (VSI) and power loss of a receiving-end power grid as consideration factors of DC drop point selection, and carrying out simulation calculation on the three indexes of optional nodes in a receiving-end AC system by adopting power system simulation software PSD-BPA; calculating critical ESCR (CESCR) according to actual parameters of the AC-DC system, and excluding the nodes the ESCR of which is smaller than CESCR so as to complete preliminary screening of DC drop points; performing normalizing treatment; establishing a target function; determining weight coefficients; calculating target function values corresponding to the nodes; and finally selecting the optimum drop point as a converter bus at an inverter side.
