Abstract

The PTN network provides two mutually redundant transport paths for an access device, when a working path is in link failure, the access device at a first end switches to a protection path; an upstream operator edge device of the working path inserts a path layer CSF warning message into a downstream PTN node of the working path; the downstream PTN node transparently transmits the CSF warning message; after receiving the CSF warning message, the working path downstream operator edge device connected with the access device at a second end turns off a port butted to the access device at the second end; and the access device at the second end switches to the protection path.
