The device comprises a line module connected with a communication cable, used for generating a cable alarm signal; a communication control module, used for generating a first switching signal and a protection starting signal; a communication protection module, used for establishing a virtual private network channel with a communication transmission device at the other end through a wireless communication module; and a branch module, used for disconnecting the line module from a communication object and connecting the communication protection module with the communication object in response to the first switching signal. The communication control module is further used for supplying power to the branch module when the device is powered off, and generating the first switching signal, the protection starting signal and a first power supply alarm signal, or a second power supply alarm signal according to the data transmission state of the branch module. The embodiment can switch the wireless channel to maintain the dedicated line service coherent use when the cable fails, improve the user experience, and identify the abnormal power-off causes to guide the maintenance personnel to handle the abnormal power-off.
