Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of environmental protection technologies, and more specifically relates to a method used for degrading microcystin-LR in water by using silver phosphate catalyst. The microcystin-LR is degraded by application of hydroxy free radicals which are generated by irradiation to silver phosphate under a simulated visible light source, wherein the simulated visible light source is a xenon lamp. Conjugated double bonds, phenyl ring groups and methoxy groups on the side chains of Adda amino acid and unsaturated double bonds of the heptapeptide ring of microcystin-LR are attacked by the hydroxy free radicals, so that the structures are changed, microcystin-LR is degraded completely, and detoxification is realized. When experimental parameters are reasonable, degradation rate on microcystin-LR in 5h can reach to 99.91%.
