Abstract

The invention discloses a Chinese herbal composition for treating neurasthenia. Neurasthenia belongs to the field of insomnia, amnesia and major depressive disorder of the traditional Chinese medicine and is mainly caused by heart-spleen deficiency; and patients which are mentally exhausted or students which study hard day and night suffer from qi and blood deficiency due to sadness and hematozemia, the mind cannot be nourished due to the qi and blood deficiency, and palpitation, insomnia and amnesia are caused by lack of mind nourishment. According to the invention, traditional Chinese medicines such as balanophora polyandra, obcordate leaf raspberry fruit, Chinese gall leaven, abrus cantoniensis hance, citrus chirocarpus, fragrant sarcococca fruit, cortex albiziae, radix paeoniae alba, root of procumbent indian mallow, sapodilla and liquorice, and the traditional Chinese medicines are decocted with water to form a decoction. Clinical trails prove that the total effective rate of the Chinese herbal composition reaches 96.2%, which is obviously better than that of a control group.
