The invention discloses a data base managing and searching method and an embedded system. The data base managing method includes the following steps that a keyword and index parameter table is built in an SQLite data base, and an index parameter and storage data structure table is built in the DBM data base; whether an input keyword exists in the SQLite data base is searched; an index parameter corresponding to the input keyword is read from the SQLite data base, and a storage data structure corresponding to the index parameter is searched from the DBM data base; the index parameter and the input storage data are added into the index parameter and storage data structure table. The data base searching method for searching a data base built through the data base managing method and the embedded system with the data base are further disclosed. By means of the method and the system, storage space of the embedded system is effectively used, and an efficient searching function is also achieved.
