machining, and discloses a cylinder outer surface follow-up
grinding system and method.The method comprises the steps that a flat car is fed into a
grinding room along a rail, a
pilot wheel of a follow-up
grinding head makes contact with the outer surface of a cylinder, a roller frame is started to drive the cylinder to rotate, and meanwhile a grinding device is started; the
pilot wheel does spiral motion along the surface of the
barrel, the
grating ruler senses the
jumping distance of the
pilot wheel in the radial direction of the
barrel and transmits the
jumping distance to the controller in real time, the grinding head jumps along with the
jumping distance, and shape follow-up grinding is completed. The track of the
polishing head is controlled through the pilot wheel in the two
modes of profiling and teaching, and the problems that in the conventional
polishing process, a carbon
fiber protection layer is extremely prone to being abraded through, internal pre-embedded cables are directly damaged, cable open circuit and
short circuit are caused, meanwhile, the
structural integrity of a carbon
fiber matrix is damaged, and the bearing strength of a shell is reduced are solved. The method is suitable for the surface treatment work of the engine shell manufactured by the carbon
fiber prepreg winding forming process in the
aerospace industry.
