Abstract

The invention provides a method and device for monitoring human motion states. The method comprises the following steps which are repeatedly executed: acquiring an acceleration signal with set sampling duration from output of a three-axis acceleration sensor worn by a human body, and calculating energy and average power of the acceleration signal; judging the human body motion state according to the average power of the acceleration signal, if the average power is larger than a strenuous exercise threshold, then determining that the human body is in a strenuous exercise state, if the average power is smaller than the strenuous exercise threshold, then determining that the human body is in a sleeping state, if the average power is smaller than the strenuous exercise threshold and larger than a sleeping threshold, then determining that the human body is in a slight exercise state; if the human body is in the strenuous exercise state, then judging whether the acceleration signal has psuedo-periodicity, if not, determining that the human body is in an irregular strenuous exercise state, and if yes, determining that the human body is in a regular strenuous exercise state. According to the method and device for monitoring human motion states, various motion states of people can be automatically and precisely monitored in an all weather mode.
