Abstract

The invention discloses a positive dielectric liquid crystal composition which comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 1-40 percent of a first component represented by a general formula I, 1-70 percent of a second component represented by a general formula II, 1-40 percent of a third component represented by a general formula III, 0-40 percent of a fourth component represented by a general formula IV and 0-40 percent of a fifth component represented by a general formula V, wherein an optical rotation component which is 0-0.5 percent of the total weight of the five components can be added according to a display requirement. The liquid crystal composition disclosed by the invention has a large nematic phase temperature range, proper positive dielectric anisotropism and proper optical anisotropism; due to the adjustment of the contents of all the components, liquid crystal mixtures with different threshold values, different clearing points and different birefringence characteristics can be expanded; the positive dielectric liquid crystal composition is particularly suitable for manufacturing of an active matrix TN-TFT and an IPS-TFT display with quick response.
