Abstract

Ethylene is endogenous hormone of plants and has the functions of promoting female flower differentiation, suppressing male flower development, controlling treetop growth, reducing nutrient translocation and waste and increasing yield. The ethylene is artificially synthesized chemical modifier and can be absorbed by the plants in vivo to be released in functioning. Therefore, via dripping the ethephone solution to the litchi trees via the liquid hanging method, female flower differentiation of the litchi trees is effectively adjusted, and an important reference mode is provided for production development of the litchi.
