The large-power microwave vertical type reactor comprises an outer microwave cavity and a reaction inner pipe which is arranged in the outer microwave cavity, wherein the outer microwave cavity is divided into two parts, namely a microwave cavity outer cover and cavity plates from inside to outside; the two sides of each cavity plate are connected with the microwave cavity outer cover by cavity plate rib plates; the outer microwave cavity is divided into three parts from top to bottom by an upper end steel channel framework, a middle connection steel channel frame and a lower end steel channel framework; and the outer microwave cavity is provided with a microwave heating part, a ventilation part, a water circulating part and a wave shielding part. The reactor adopts a microwave heating manner, so that materials can be directly and rapidly heated in a non-contact manner; the efficiency of converting microwave energy to heat energy is greatly improved due to a magnetron layout of the reactor; and a lot of small-power magnetrons are combined and matched so that the successful research of the extremely-large-power microwave vertical type reactor for industrial production is realized.
