The method includes the steps: acquiring an environmental temperature, a condenser outlet temperature and water inlet and outlet temperatures of a heat exchanger in real time; comparing the temperature difference between the environmental temperature and the condenser outlet temperature with a second preset temperature difference threshold value when the temperature difference between the water inlet and outlet temperatures is larger than a first preset temperature difference threshold value; controlling the air-cooled heat pump hot and cold water machine to stop and outputting fault information when the temperature difference between the environmental temperature and the condenser outlet temperature is larger than or equal to the second preset temperature difference threshold value.
