Benefits of technology

This patented new type of refrigzer for use at temperatures below 30C uses specific types of chemicals called perflourooctanes (PFOS) or trichlorofluorovinolone(TFF). These compounds improve its properties such as reducing volatilization during storage when stored under pressure. They have excellent compatibility with common oils like mineral oil that make up most commonly available coolants. Additionally they provide better heat transfer than traditional freons without adding extra weight compared to some older systems. Overall these technical results lead to an environmentally friendly alternative to current chilled water based refrigrators while maintaining their effectiveness over time.

Problems solved by technology

The technical problem addressed by this patented research relates to developing environmental friendliness and efficiency improvements over traditional chemical coolers that use CFC/HCFC compounds like dichlorodifroanone (DDM).

Abstract

The invention provides a tetrafluoropropylene-containing mixture refrigerant. According to the invention, because hydrocarbon substances such as propane, propylene, iso-butane, butane, 1-butylene and iso-butylene are added in tetrafluoropropylene, the intersolubility of the refrigerant and lubricating oil is improved; besides, hydrofluorocarbon type substances containing multiple fluorine atoms, such as trifluoro-iodomethane, difluoromethane, 1,1-difluoroethane, 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane, 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane, 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoropropane, 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane, 1,1,1,2,3,3-hexafluoropropane and 1,1,1,3,3-perfluoropropane are added in the mixture, so that the flammability of the refrigerant can be reduced.
