Abstract

The invention discloses a liquid crystal composition and application thereof. The liquid crystal composition comprises a component A and a component B. The liquid crystal composition has appropriate optical anisotropy, is very high in charge retention rate, rapid in response, low in rotation viscosity and short in response time, and can retain a high charge retention rate, low power consumption and the like. Within the range of the composition disclosed by the invention, the contents of different components can be adjusted so as to expand liquid crystal compositions with characteristics of different thresholds, bright points and birefringence. The liquid crystal composition disclosed by the invention has a wide application prospect and a high application value in liquid crystal display, and is particularly applicable to manufacturing of active matrix TN-TFT and IPS-TFT displays with rapid response.
