Problems solved by technology

Due to the high frequency of terahertz, the size of the corresponding device is very small, and the coupling structure of the filter is extremely sensitive to the size, which makes it very difficult to achieve cross-coupling. The above-mentioned terahertz filters fail to achieve cross-coupling

Abstract

The invention discloses a cross-coupled terahertz rectangular cavity filter with transmission zeros. The filter structurally comprises transition waveguides, rectangular resonant cavities and coupling windows. By taking a four-order Chebyshev filter as a prototype, the resonant cavities are arrayed in vertical mirror symmetry according to a CQ topological structure; main coupling of the filter is realized by means of H-surface deflection and making of rectangular windows, and cross coupling of the filter is realized by the aid of the coupling windows among the resonant cavities. The cross-coupled terahertz rectangular cavity filter has the advantages of low return loss in a filter transmission band, low insertion loss and high suppression degree due to two transmission zeros at two ends of the transmission band. By the cross-coupled terahertz rectangular cavity filter with the transmission zeros, cross coupling in the terahertz frequency band is realized for the first time, and the filter is excellent in performance, simple in structure and especially applicable to a SU-8 layered thick-film process.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a basic functional device in the terahertz application field, especially suitable for layered thick film processes such as SU-8, and specifically refers to a cross-coupled terahertz rectangular cavity filter with transmission zero. Background technique [0002] In a broad sense, terahertz refers to electromagnetic waves in the 0.1THz-10THz frequency band. It is connected to the millimeter wave frequency band and the far infrared frequency band. It is mainly used in radar, communication, electronic countermeasures, medical imaging, astronomy, non-destructive testing, security inspection and many other fields. , therefore, it is of great significance to carry out research on terahertz devices. As a widely used passive device, research on terahertz filters is attracting increasing attention. Due to the high frequency of terahertz, some traditional planar structure filters, such as microstrip and coplanar waveguide filters, have la...
