Abstract

The invention discloses a traditional Chinese medicine combination for treating the itchy skins of patients undergoing hemodialysis. The itchy skin condition belongs to the field of pruritus cutanea or pruritus in traditional Chinese medicine. The pathogenesis of the pruritus cutanea mainly relates to blood deficiency, wind dry, toxin deposition and inner junction. That is, the spleen is the primary reason of the pruritus cutanea, while the damp toxin and the wind toxin are the secondary reasons of the pruritus cutanea. The damp toxin spills over the skin of a patient and the wind toxin spills over the fur. In this way, the patient feels itchy in skin. According to the invention, buttonbush root, maidenhair, spikenard, common achyranthes herb, amomum, piper betle l., cyperus rotundus, dunn antiotrema root, tanacetum variifolium and fivevein meconopsis herb are decocted in water to obtain a decoction. The results of clinical tests show that, the total effective rate of the traditional Chinese medicine combination is 95.0%, and is clearly superior to the total effective rate of a control group.
