Abstract

The invention discloses a method for rapidly changing channels of a digital television. The method comprises the following steps that: (1) an electronic program menu interface is entered, and a cursor appears on the electronic program menu interface, wherein the position of the cursor is an initial position; (2) if the digital television detects that the cursor leaves the initial position, the digital television detects a current position of the cursor, and transmits channel information of an electronic program represented by the current position to a DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) management module; (3) the DVB management module retrieves frequency point information corresponding to the electronic program according to a received channel signal of the electronic program, and transmits the frequency point information to a tuner; (4) the tuner performs frequency locking according to the frequency point information, and returns a frequency locking result to the digital television; and (5) if a user determines to play the electronic program represented by the current position of the cursor, the digital television switches to a channel of the electronic program, and otherwise returning to the step (2) is performed.
