Disclosed is a composite set-top box based on software defined radio in the digital television field. A function unit comprises a satellite television signal turner, a cable television signal turner, a ground radiated television signal turner, an A/D transformer, a digital down converter, a software defined radio platform, a MPED-2 main chip system, an analog audio-video processing unit, an embedded control circuit, operating keys and a display panel; wherein the software defined radio system composed of a high-performance DSP completes the demodulation of QAM, QPSK and COFDM three modulation signals; an embedded control circuit is used as the main control unit of the whole television; connects and controls the satellite television signal turner, the cable television signal turner and the ground radiated digital television signal turner, the MPEG-2 main chip system and the software defined radio platform through an I<2>C bus and HPI host interfaces; and connects with the operating keys and the display panel through a GPIO interface. The invention achieves the function that the single set-top box simultaneously receives the satellite signals, the cable television signals and the ground radiated digital television signals.
