Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a server connection-based dynamic timeout processing method and device. The method includes the following steps that: a service request sent by a client is received; a first connection request for connecting a first target server is initiated, so that business services which are provided by the first target server and corresponding to the service request are called; the first target server is correlated with a regular timeout time; a first dynamic timeout is set in the regular timeout time; and when the result of the business service is not received within the first dynamic timeout, the first connection request is maintained, and at the same time, a second connection request for connecting a second target server is initiated, so that business services which are provided by the second target server and corresponding to the service request are called. With the method and device provided by the embodiment of the invention adopted, entire reliance on the timeout of a downstream server can be avoided, and timeout time can be adjusted dynamically according to the quality of services, and therefore, the delay of the business services can be decreased, the probability of the ineffectiveness of the services can be reduced, and access quality can be improved.
