Abstract

The invention discloses a credit exchange method and an apparatus thereof and belongs to the computer technology field. The credit exchange method comprises the following steps that a webpage server receives a first exchange request which is used for requesting to use credits to exchange virtual items in a resource account of a target user and is sent by a browser, the first exchange request includes a target quantity of the credits needed for exchanging the virtual items and item identifications of the virtual items, and the credits in the resource account are generated and accumulated by an application program client corresponding to the target user; the webpage server sends a second exchange request to a background server corresponding to the application program client, the second exchange request is used for indicating the background server to deduct the credits with the target quantity in the resource account and add the virtual items corresponding to the item identifications in the resource account. A problem that other functions in a client can not be used continuously and normal operation of the client is influenced when the client is collapsed during a credit exchange process in the prior art is solved.
