The liquid crystal composition is prepared from a compound accounting for 5-30% of the total weight of the liquid crystal composition and shown by one or more general formulas I, a compound accounting for 1-30% of the total weight of the liquid crystal composition and shown by one or more general formulas II, a compound accounting for 1-30% of the total weight of the liquid crystal composition and shown by one or more general formulas III, a compound accounting for 1-20% of the total weight of the liquid crystal composition and shown by one or more general formulas IV-1 and IV-2 and a compound accounting for 15-50% of the total weight of the liquid crystal composition and shown by one or more general formulas V, and the liquid crystal composition has large dielectric anisotropy, appropriate high optical anisotropy, low viscosity and good light and heat stability and is suitable for liquid crystal display devices.
