The method comprises the steps of analyzing a query intention of an original retrieval statement through log information of interaction of a user and a search engine; and training an intention classification model according to a corresponding relationship between the original retrieval statement and the query intention, thereby predicting a query intention corresponding to the retrieval statement input by the user according to the intention classification model. According to the method, the query intention of the user is accurately analyzed, so that a retrieval result conforming to the query intention of the user can be conveniently provided for the user and the retrieval performance is improved.
