Abstract

The method is characterized in comprising the steps of firstly, measuring optical wave angle of arrival fluctuation variances in two transmission directions by employing an optical wave angle of arrival fluctuation variance measurement system of the two-way atmosphere turbulence optical transmission channel; secondly, calculating valid coherent lengths of two random phase screens at positions of z=L/4 and z=L/3 according to the angle of arrival fluctuation variances in the two transmission directions; and finally, calculating the asymmetry of the two-way atmosphere turbulence optical transmission channel according to the valid coherent lengths of the random phase screen P <l > and the random phase screen P <r >. According to the method, the asymmetry of the two-way atmosphere turbulence optical transmission channel is obtained by measuring the optical wave angle of arrival fluctuation variances of the two-way atmosphere turbulence optical transmission channel, thereby providing actual data support for performance analysis and optimization design of links of a two-way free space optical transmission system in different transmission directions.
