The invention discloses an adjustable pressure type gas water heater which is characterized in that an expansion tank, a water pressure sensor and a booster pump are arranged in a gas water heater shell; the expansion tank communicates with a gas water heater water inlet pipe through a bypass pipe; the bypass pipe is provided with an electric stop valve; the water pressure sensor and the booster pump are connected in series on the gas water heater water inlet pipe; and one controller is connected with the water pressure sensor, the booster pump and the electric stop valve and controls actions of the booster pump and the electric stop valve according to a signal fed back by the water pressure sensor. The adjustable pressure type gas water heater has the functions of increasing and stabilizing the water pressure. As for a user with higher requirements for bathing, the water pressure can be set at a specific value, and the pressure of the gas water heater can be adjusted automatically according to variation of the water pressure (at water using peak and non-peak) so as to ensure the final pressure to be stable, so that the service life of a machine is prolonged when the bathing comfort is guaranteed.
