Abstract

The invention relates to a garment care appliance with a control device. The garment care appliance with a control device has an immersion container, a water supply device, and an outflow opening, wherein the water supply device is connected to the immersion container through a supply line; the outflow opening is connected to the outflow tube and can be closed by a closure device closed; and the outflow hose is connected to the immersion pump. The control device is configured to move the water supply device during a first time period in order to deliver the washing liquid to the supply level when the closure device is open. The control device is configured to move the delivery operation of the infusion pump during a second period of time when the closure device is open in order to pump the washing liquid from the infusion container to a pump out of the hose until it is above the supply level. The liquid level, after the wash liquid in the liquid immersion container has been pumped, is below the pump level, and the wash liquid flowing out of the hose applies pressure to the closure device due to the higher liquid level pumped out of the liquid level of the container pressure so as to close the outflow opening through the closure device.
